Illustration: "It Overflows"

Last month I had the great pleasure of working on an illustration for IZE magazine and I am so happy to share this project with you guys. It is so exciting to see my work in a publication for the first time!

IZE is a an alternative online magazine that was established in December 2011 and is based in beautiful Brisbane, Australia. Issues are released seasonally and you can enjoy all of them online - here - for free.

"It Overflows" is based on the poem "Trash" by Jacquiline Fraser. Check both of them out, as well as   - Editor and Art Director - Nicole Pires and Madeline Hay's hard work in Issue 5, out now. I am so happy to be a part of this issue!

I'm not sure if my comment just sent - so I'll comment again hah :) I've been following your blog for a while now, and just saw this post. I'm in the process of creating an online magazine with my friend called Synaesthesia, and have always loved your artwork! If you're interested in doing a piece for the first issue, please contact synaesthesiamagazine@gmail.com - I'd love it if you'd be interested - we'd be extremely proud to host an illustration! xx

I just can't get enough of your illustrations. You know what I love about this one the most? THE FRECKLES!

Thank you so much Jackie! That is so sweet. :)

Thanks sweetie! I am quite obsessed with drawing FRECKLES so using all caps is quite appropriate. :)

Beautiful work. I've been working on hair studies for months now and it's one of my favorite things to draw due to the depth of detail and the ability for it to be interesting objectively even on it's own. Congratulations on being published. It's always a great milestone of achievement. Keep up the amazing work.
